Features

FastRoad Advanced 1 is a speedy, effective, and enjoyable method to travel for everything from invigorating commutes to fitness rides. It combines the stability and smooth riding of a flat-bar bike with the speed of a performance road cycle. Giant’s Advanced Composite material, used to make the frame, provides a light, responsive ride. Ergo bar ends keep your hands comfortable for extended rides, while the ground-breaking D-Fuse seatpost helps absorb shocks and road vibrations. The fast-rolling wheels are tubeless ready and can accommodate high-volume tyres up to 32mm in width, giving you a smoother ride with greater traction and fewer flat tyres.

Advanced Composite Technology Frame & RideSense

Giant’s in-house composite laboratory creates the company’s own frame material with a high stiffness-to-weight ratio using its High Performance Grade raw carbon material. Modified Monocoque Construction, a distinctive manufacturing technique, is used to combine and mold the front triangle of these framesets as a single continuous component.

D-Fuse Technology

Giant originally introduced their ground-breaking D-Fuse technology in 2014. As a seatpost for high-level cyclocross bikes, it was initially developed because, by dampening shocks and vibrations, it would smooth out the ride and provide the rider more control over challenging terrain. This revolutionary concept is built upon the distinctive “D-shaped” tube with a rounded front and flattened rear part. Following its success in cyclocross, which included numerous world championship victories, D-Fuse was ultimately introduced to endurance road and gravel bikes as well as the front portion of the bicycle. The handlebars add compliance at two critical points of contact along with the seatpost without adding weight or complexity associated with pivots or inserts.

OverDrive

Technology for huge fork steerer tubes developed by Giant. The system’s enlarged headset bearings (1 1/4″ lower and 1 1/8″ upper for road, 1 1/2″ lower and 1 1/8″ higher for mountain) and tapered steerer tube work together to produce ideal steering rigidity. They are designed to provide precise front-end steering performance.

Tyres Giant Gavia Fondo 2, tubeless, 700x32c

Better tyre shoulder grip due to an optimized compound profile results in exceptional cornering performance.
By using a quick, effective, and long-lasting compound in the tire’s center and a stickier compound on the shoulder, low rolling resistance and good mileage can be achieved.
Improved wet/mixed-terrain traction with an endurance-specific tread pattern design.
A high level of puncture protection is ensured with R-Shield Puncture Protection.
The Carbon/Kevlar Composite Bead strengthens the tyre to handle the higher pressures required for road tyres and maintains the tyre fastened to the rim.

Drivetrain

Shimano’s top-tier groupsets are made with only the greatest characteristics, giving you a drivetrain that is affordable and capable of winning races even in the most difficult conditions. The 11-34 gear combination of the Shimano CS-HG700 11-Speed Cassette offers terrain riders more wheel alternatives than ever before. This cassette significantly expands gearing options for a variety of terrain.
includes features like wide range of gear options and high performance rider adjusted gearing. 11-34T gear combination for the CS-HG700. Additionally, the CS-GH700-11 11-34T cassette fits the 10-speed freehub body.

Tubeless System

Less tyre blowouts resulted in better traction, a smoother, faster ride, and less rolling resistance. All these advantages are now more widely available than ever thanks to Giant’s Tubeless System.
