An ultra-aero frame with Kammtail Virtual Foil aerodynamic tube shaping and road-smoothing manufactured of our lightest-ever 800 Series OCLV carbon Tubeless Ready Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 carbon wheels, a micro-adjust Madone seatmast, adjustable Top Tube IsoSpeed, a KVF complete carbon fork, an aero bar and stem, a 2×12 SRAM RED eTap AXS wireless electronic drivetrain, an SRAM RED AXS power meter.
Ultralight OCLV Carbon Frame
Trek uses their ‘800 series OCLV carbon lay-up’ for the frame.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology, Trek’s 800 series OCLV carbon optimizes both the material’s aerodynamics and its properties.
On the Trek Madone SLR 7 eTap, they use this specifically created composite. Trek asserts that they employ a very high-quality carbon-resin composite because aerodynamic tube forms are heavier and less rigid than standard, spherical tubes. This results in a weight reduction of just under 10% when compared to an OCLV 700 frame, with the SLR frame manufactured from OCLV 800 weighing in at just 698 g. The lighter the material, the higher the number after the OCLV.
Less material needs to be used to produce the same riding qualities thanks to the new material’s astonishing 30% increase in strength over prior OCLV Carbon while maintaining the same stiffness.
Geometry and Comfort
Madone has a few modifications to make the riding more comfortable. Its geometry is given a Goldilocks-style makeover. It is known as H1.5 and it lies halfway between the rigid H2 endurance geometry and the aggressive H1 geometry. It’s a balance that puts you in a position that is unquestionably more aerodynamic, but one that we could easily ride for hours in. The Madone’s next comfort feature is adjustable top tube IsoSpeed, a design idea that was first created for the Domane spring classics race bike.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
The hydraulic disc brakes are quite good; they modulate more easily and with a softer initial grasp than Shimano calipers. And points to Trek for specifying 160 mm rotors front and rear in addition to the basic dual-sided power meter, given the greater speeds riders are expected to hit on this thing.

For Men & Women:
Madone SLR 7 eTap is available in Six colors—Dark Prismatic/Trek Black, Navy Carbon Smoke/Viper Red, Navy Carbon Smoke/Blue, Matte Deep Smoke, Amethyst, Radioactive Coral to Yellow Fade.
