If you don’t settle, Madone SLR 9 is the right choice for you. For riders who desire every performance advantage on the road, including our best and lightest carbon layup yet, cutting-edge aerodynamics, and exceptional ride quality, the Madone SLR 9 Disc is the ideal choice.

With Kammtail Virtual Foil aerodynamic tube shaping and road-smoothing, this ultra-aero frame is our lightest-ever 800 Series OCLV carbon. Adjustable Top Tube IsoSpeed, KVF full carbon disc fork, 12mm through axles, an aerobar and stem, a brand-new 2×12 Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 wireless electronic drivetrain, tubeless-ready Bontrager Aeolus RSL 51 carbon wheels, a micro-adjust Madone seatmast, and Dura-Ace flat-mount disc brakes are just a few of the features of this bike.

Ultralight OCLV Carbon Frame

Trek uses their ‘800 series OCLV carbon lay-up’ for the frame.

Trek’s 800 series OCLV carbon uses cutting-edge technologies to improve the material’s aerodynamics and physical characteristics.
They employ this specially made composite on the Trek Madone SLR 7 eTap. Because aerodynamic tube forms are heavier and less rigid than conventional, spherical tubes, Trek claims to use a very high-quality carbon-resin composite. In comparison to an OCLV 700 frame, this translates in a weight decrease of slightly under 10%, with the SLR frame made from OCLV 800 weighing in at just 698 g. The greater the number after the OCLV, the lighter the material.

Due to the new material’s astounding 30 percent increase in strength over previous OCLV Carbon while maintaining the same stiffness, less material is required to offer the same riding qualities.

Geometry and Comfort

Madone features a few changes to improve the comfort of the ride. It gets a Goldilocks-style makeover in terms of shape. Between the tight H2 endurance geometry and the aggressive H1 geometry, there is a geometry known as H1.5. We could easily ride for hours in this posture, despite the fact that it is obviously more aerodynamic. The adjustable top tube IsoSpeed, a concept originally developed for the Domane spring classics race bike, is the following comfort feature for the Madone.

Hydraulic Disc Brakes

With the head tube flaps (Vector Wings, in Trek lingo), specially created integrated brakes are connected to disc brakes.
The Madone SLR with rim brakes is still available from Trek. In fact, it is one of the few companies still selling rim brakes; most of its competitors have switched over to disc brakes for their most recent aero bikes.

The hydraulic disc brakes are simple to use and didn’t need any maintenance while I had the bike. There is enough of power, and the lever feel is ideal for smoothly dispensing the power in any circumstance.
Increased tyre clearance, which supports 28mm tyres, is a benefit of disc brakes. If you wish to improve comfort, that is a good choice. The Madone’s rim brakes may accommodate tyres up to 25mm in diameter.

For Men & Women:

Madone SLR 7 eTap is available in Six colors—Dark Prismatic/Trek Black, Navy Carbon Smoke/Viper Red, Navy Carbon Smoke/Blue, Matte Deep Smoke, Amethyst, Radioactive Coral to Yellow Fade. Also variety of Eight sizes (47, 50, 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, 62). It weighs roughly (size 56) – 8.20 kg / 18.08 lbs. Madone is faster on any surface and in any situation thanks to our 800 Series OCLV Carbon laminate, which is the lightest laminate we’ve ever produced.

fresh wireless Ever quicker, smoother, and more responsive shifts are delivered by Dura-Ace Di2.

Top Tube Adjustable IsoSpeed’s compliance may be adjusted to your preference, and it is damped using an elastomer so that it rebounds in a regulated, steady, and smooth manner.

Our Rating

The Madone SLR 9 Disc boasts the trifecta of aerodynamics, lightness, and riding quality, all finished with the greatest possible components.

Aero bikes have advanced significantly in the area of comfort in recent years, and the Madone is no exception. It is simple to ride all day.

With its eye-catching design, intelligent integration, and impeccable construction, the Madone SLR 9 is incredibly quick and will help you set new personal records and win road races. Despite these issues, the bike is quite remarkable.

Although it is a seriously fast aero race bike with excellent handling, it is not the smoothest or built to the highest standards.
